About this opportunity

The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking to procure 8 Control Disposal Units (NSN 7R-5999-015063249-LC) with Technical Data Package Version 007 and Reference Number 75-0289-1. The proposed contract will be negotiated under FAR 6.302-1, which allows for single-source procurement. Interested vendors must demonstrate capability to meet the government's requirements and can submit proposals, quotations, or capability statements within 45 days of the notice's publication (or 30 days if awarded under an existing Basic Ordering Agreement). Qualification requirements will be a critical evaluation criterion, with award contingent upon the offeror, product/service, and manufacturer meeting specific qualifications at the time of award. Vendors can obtain necessary technical specifications and documentation through the DoD Single Stock Point (DODSSP) using ASSIST-Online or by contacting the DODSSP Help Desk.

The pre-solicitation notice indicates no specific set-aside designation for this procurement. Delivery will be FOB Origin, and the government is not applying FAR Part 12 policies for commercial item acquisition. Interested commercial item providers have 15 days from the notice date to identify their capabilities to the contracting officer. Additional documents like patterns, drawings, and deviation lists are not stocked at DODSSP and must be obtained through alternative means. The solicitation does not specify a precise contract value or budget range, but the procurement is for 8 units of the specified control disposal unit. Potential vendors must carefully review all qualification requirements and be prepared to provide comprehensive documentation demonstrating their ability to meet the Navy's specific technical and performance standards.
