About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Lifecycle Management Center has issued a Limited / Sole Source Justification Notice for a Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) contract for the C-5M aircraft fleet. The contract, awarded on May 29, 2025, with a performance period from June 1, 2025, to May 31, 2026, covers comprehensive sustainment and logistical support services for aircraft modified by the Avionics Modernization Program and Reliability Enhancement and Re-engining Program. The sole-source justification is based on the vendor's unique capabilities, proprietary technical data, and intellectual property rights that make them the only source capable of providing specialized logistics support, including supply chain management, spare parts procurement, inventory control, and maintenance of base-level spares. While the specific vendor and contract value were not disclosed in the notice, the contract (FA852525CB001) is described as a bridge effort to maintain continuous support for the Air Mobility Command and Air Force Reserve Command until a follow-on CLS IV contract can be awarded. The contract's critical nature stems from the need to ensure uninterrupted logistical support for the specialized C-5M aircraft fleet.
