About this opportunity

The Department of the Navy Naval Sea Systems Command is seeking a contractor to continue augmenting the Corrosion Cracking Maintenance Prediction Software (CCMPS) that was initially developed under an Office of Naval Research Future Naval Capabilities program. The purpose is to further optimize the CCMPS tool by refining the software framework and incorporating additional material and structural input models. Interested parties must submit quotes by 11:00 AM on September 10, 2024, and it is anticipated that a single firm-fixed price purchase order will be issued in response to this Request for Quotes (RFQ).

This procurement is set-aside for small businesses, with a NAICS code of 325211 (Plastics Material and Resin Manufacturing) and a PSC code of 7A20 (IT And Telecom - Application Development Software). Based on a sole source justification, VEXTEC Inc., the original developer of the CCMPS tool, is the only known source capable of effectively leveraging the existing investment and augmenting the software due to the proprietary nature of the prediction model's architecture and stochastic input variables. The estimated value for this service is not provided in the attached documents.
