The Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), at the National Institutes of Health (NIH), Clinical Center (CC), Office of Purchasing and Contracts (OPC), has a need to continue an existing service that maintains the E*Value's web-based system, which is a secure, multifunctional, proprietary web-based electronic information management system (IMS) currently utilized by the NIH Clinical Center.
The E-Value system evaluates the Graduate Medical Education (GME) programs at the NIH/CC, both those that are accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education and those that are not, allowing the prospective and cumulative collection of data from the GME programs, their participants, and their alumni, which are required to meet existing and evolving national accreditation and NIH institutional standards.
The E-Value system Survey's Clinical Center Summer Internship Program (SIP) , participants at one, three, and five year intervals after departure from the SIP.
The E-Value system evaluates the career development impact of rotations offered to students participating in Clinical Electives Program (CEP) and collect data from both CEP participants and CEP alumni required to assess the educational effectiveness of the 33 medical/surgical rotations available through the CEP at the NIH Clinical Center.
Maintenance of this proprietary electronic information management system is critical to the operations of the NIH/CC in order to permit ongoing data collection, prospective data tracking and administrative staff monitoring of pre-determined measures of academic achievement, clinical competency and research involvement, as well as documentation of program specific clinical experience, exposures and outcomes, for those who are currently in or have previously participated in the medical education or clinical and research training programs at the NIH.
