About this opportunity

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Rock Island Engineering District has published a special notice announcing a Construction Quality Management (CQM) training course for contractor personnel. This 11-hour course will be conducted over two days, October 16-17, 2025, at the Davenport Public Library in Davenport, Iowa. The training is designed as a facilitated video course comprising eight modules covering topics from introduction through the Resident Management System. Registration for the course must be completed by October 9, 2025, through the designated point of contact, Bryce Iwinski. The course is offered at no cost to participants and is limited to 25 students.

The primary objective of this training is to familiarize contractor personnel with Corps of Engineers Construction Quality Management concepts and procedures essential for working on Corps projects. Contractors must attend all sessions and achieve a minimum 70% score on the written examination to receive a certificate valid for five years. Priority enrollment will be given to contractors currently working on projects within the Mississippi Valley Division, though the notice does not explicitly restrict participation to this group. The course materials are available for download in advance, and participants are expected to bring their own copies as materials will not be provided during the class. The Corps reserves the right to cancel the course if fewer than five confirmed registrants are enrolled within one week of the scheduled start date.
