About this opportunity

The Department of the Treasury Bureau of Engraving and Printing issued a consolidation notice on August 20, 2026, announcing its plan to consolidate two separate security administrative services contracts into a single procurement covering the Eastern Currency Facility in Washington, DC and the Western Currency Facility in Fort Worth, Texas. The consolidation will remain a small business set-aside, with Treasury reserving the right to further restrict the requirement to specific small business socio-economic categories.

Treasury determined consolidation is necessary and justified, projecting quantified cost savings of 10.78% (exceeding the Revolutionary FAR Overhaul threshold of 10%), comprising 7.07% contract cost savings and 3.71% government administrative savings. Consolidated benefits include mission alignment, economies of scale, operational efficiency, administrative streamlining, quality improvements, and workforce standardization. Current contracts total $10,366,267.97 across three awards to Chenega Global Protection LLC (two contracts) and Coastal Management Solutions INC (one contract).

Services include staffing and operation of security operations centers, visitor stations, badging and Personal Identity Verification credentialing, visitor processing, mail screening, and currency destruction assistance. The applicable NAICS code is 561612 (Security Guards and Patrol Services); PSC is R430 (Support—Professional: Physical Security and Badging). The contracting approach is a consolidated Firm Fixed Price task order against GSA MAS 561612.

This notice is informational only and does not constitute a solicitation or commit the government to contract. No proposals are being requested at this time.

Notice text

The US Department of the Treasury (Treasury), Bureau of Engraving and Printing, analyzed the benefits of consolidating two (2) separate contracts into one contract for Security Administrative Services. Treasury has found the consolidating necessary and justified. Consolidation of the requirements will result in substantial benefits estimated at 10.78%. The benefits exceed the requirement per Revolutionary FAR Overhaul (RFO) FAR 7.107-2(c)(3) of 10% of the estimated contract value. In addition to the significant quantified cost savings, the contract will benefit from mission alignment and organizational impact, cost savings and economies of scale, operational efficiency and administrative streamlining, quality improvements that will save time or improve or enhance performance or efficiency, and workforce standardization and capability development. The cost savings and other benefits that will be realized as a result of this consolidation outweigh any potential negative impacts to small business. In addition, the Government reserves the right to further set-aside this requirement for specific small business socio-economic categories.

DISCLAIMER: THIS IS A SPECIAL NOTICE ONLY.
