About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking contractors for the repair and modification of console infrastructure components, specifically NSN 7H-5998-017185865 under TDP VER 001. This pre-solicitation notice indicates the government requires 9 units delivered FOB origin, with delivery terms to be specified in the final solicitation. The government has determined it does not own the technical data rights necessary to procure repairs from multiple sources and has concluded it would be uneconomical to purchase these rights or reverse engineer the components. Award will only be made to offerors who meet qualification requirements in accordance with FAR clause 52.209-1 at the time of award. The solicitation was posted on May 8, 2025, with a due date of October 23, 2025, providing potential contractors with over five months to prepare their responses.
This opportunity does not utilize any set-aside designations, making it open to all qualified contractors regardless of size or socioeconomic status. The solicitation does not identify any incumbent contractors or provide specific budget ranges or award values for the procurement. The quantity requirement is limited to 9 units of the specified console infrastructure components, suggesting this is a relatively small-scale repair and modification contract. Based on the government's market research, this procurement will not follow FAR Part 12 procedures for commercial items, indicating the specialized nature of these military electronic assemblies. The extended timeline from posting to due date suggests the complexity of the qualification requirements and the specialized nature of the work involved in repairing these electronic components.
