About this opportunity

The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking to procure 688 electrical connector units with National Stock Number 1R-5935-016715291-EP. This pre-solicitation notice indicates the government intends to negotiate with a single source under FAR 6.302-1 authority, though all responsible sources may express interest and capability to respond. Interested parties can obtain relevant military specifications and standards through the DoD Single Stock Point (DODSSP) in Philadelphia, primarily via the ASSIST-Online platform or by contacting their help desk. The government will consider proposals, quotations, or capability statements submitted within 45 days of the notice's publication (or 30 days if awarded under an existing Basic Ordering Agreement). Notably, the agency is not utilizing FAR Part 12 policies for commercial item acquisition and will evaluate submissions based on their ability to meet the specific technical requirements.

The pre-solicitation does not indicate a specific set-aside designation, and no incumbent contractors are mentioned in the documentation. Delivery is specified as FOB Origin, with the quantity fixed at 688 units. While no specific award value is provided, the procurement appears to be for a specific military-grade electrical connector with precise technical specifications. Potential vendors must be prepared to meet stringent military standards and provide documentation demonstrating their capability to fulfill the contract requirements. The solicitation provides multiple methods for interested parties to obtain additional information, including online resources, telephone contact, and postal mail communication with the DoD Document Services in Philadelphia.
