About this opportunity
The Department of Homeland Security US Coast Guard is soliciting quotations for Connecting Link Rig spare parts for MH-65 helicopters, with quotations due August 4, 2026. The procurement is structured as a sole source acquisition anticipated to award to Airbus Helicopters, Inc., though all responsible sources meeting the requirements may submit quotations.
All required parts must demonstrate clear traceability to the Original Equipment Manufacturer, Airbus Helicopters, Inc. (Cage Code 3GSZ1), with complete documented and auditable paper trails from OEM-approved sources. Newly manufactured commercial items must be accompanied by a Certificate of Conformance in compliance with Federal Aviation Regulation Part 21 and FAR clause 52.246-15. The Government's position is that Airbus Helicopters, Inc. is the only known source capable of providing the required traceability and authentic OEM components; procurement from any other source would compromise aircraft and crew safety.
The NAICS code is 336413, Other Aircraft Parts and Auxiliary Equipment Manufacturing, with a small business size standard of 1,250 employees. This is a commercial items acquisition under FAR subpart 12.6, with a firm-fixed price purchase order anticipated. Quotations must include completed unit pricing and remain firm for 60 calendar days from the offer deadline. Technical acceptability is the primary evaluation criterion, assessed on the offeror's ability to provide newly manufactured commercial items from authorized sources and deliver exact part numbers as listed. Delivery is F.O.B. Destination unless F.O.B. Origin is specified with included shipping costs. All products must comply with detailed quality assurance, packaging, marking, inspection, and airworthiness certification requirements applicable to USCG aircraft.
