About this opportunity

This solicitation seeks offers to provide two 32' x 110' precast concrete floats to replace existing steel barges at Naval Magazine Indian Island. The Naval Supply Systems Command, on behalf of the Department of the Navy, requires the floats to meet all specifications for components, reinforcement, internal equipment, fittings and fendering. Offerors must submit drawings and a quality plan with their proposals. Technical acceptability, price, and past performance will be evaluated, with award as a fixed price contract to the best valued offer. THIS IS A COMMERICAL, FIRM FIXED-PRICE SUPPLY CONTRACT.

NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center Puget Sound, in support of NAVY REGION NORTHWEST, PORT OPERATIONS, is negotiating on a 100% SMALL BUSINESS SET ASIDE FOR TWO MONOLITHIC TYPE FLOATS, WHICH ARE FORMED BY THE INTERCONNECTION OF MODULES CONSISTING OF POLYSTYRENE FOAM BILLETS THAT ARE FULLY ENCASED IN CONCRETE. The closing date of this solicitation is on 7/11/2023. This procurement is utilizing FAR Part 12 and 13.5 procedures. This solicitation and any subsequent amendments will be posted on the SAM.Gov Website: https://sam.gov/content/home/   

Through its submission, the vendor acknowledges the requirement that a prospective awardee must be registered in the System Award Management (SAM) database prior to submitting their offer, during performance and through final payment of any contract resulting from this solicitation. Lack of registration in the SAM database will make a vendor ineligible for award. Vendors may obtain information on registration and annual confirmation requirements via the Internet at https://www.sam.gov/portal/SAM.

All responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal or quotation, which shall be considered by FLCPS. This solicitation and any subsequent amendments will be posted to the sam.gov website: http://www.sam.gov. Prospective offerors are responsible for downloading their own copy of the solicitation from this website and for frequently monitoring that site for any amendments. The Government is not responsible for any inability of the offeror to access the posted documents.
