About this opportunity
The US Army Corps of Engineers, Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) is conducting market research to identify potential sources for a Computational Chemistry contract. The primary objective is to secure contractor personnel who can utilize advanced computational techniques to predict environmental fate and impact of contaminants related to army and non-army projects. Contractors will be expected to validate, develop, run, and evaluate computational chemistry programs, using both classical and quantum mechanical approaches. The project focuses on researching "Structures, properties and interactions of molecular/material systems" and requires contractors to develop and document computational methods. Interested companies with NAICS code 541715 must submit their response by June 13, 2025 at 1:00 PM CST, including firm details, point of contact information, business size designation, and a ten-page capability statement.
This is a non-set-aside contract opportunity within the Research and Development in Physical, Engineering, and Life Sciences category, with a size standard of 1,000 employees. The solicitation encourages submissions from various small business designations, including HUBZone, 8(a), Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, Small Disadvantaged Business, and Woman-Owned Business. Companies must be able to verify SBA certifications through SAM. While specific award values are not disclosed, the contract appears to be a research and development engagement focused on computational chemistry services. Submissions must be emailed to Crystal.E.North@usace.army.mil and Sonia.J.Boyd@usace.army.mil with a specific subject line referencing "Instrumental Sample Analyses Conducted for the Genomics and Systems Biology Team W912HZ25RCN03."
