About this opportunity

The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking to procure compressor units under NSN 7H-4310-013536128-A2, TDP Version 001, Reference Number D2149. This pre-solicitation notice indicates the government's intent to solicit and negotiate with only one source, suggesting a sole-source acquisition. The government does not own the technical data or rights necessary to purchase or contract repair of this part from additional sources, and it has determined that acquiring such data or rights would be uneconomical, as would reverse engineering the component. Interested parties may obtain copies of relevant Military and Federal Specifications, Standards, Qualified Products Lists, and other standardized documents from the DoD Single Stock Point or through ASSIST-Online. The pre-solicitation was posted on January 9, 2025, with a due date of February 12, 2026, allowing substantial time for interested parties to review requirements and prepare responses.

This acquisition is not designated as a set-aside contract and is unrestricted to all eligible vendors. The procurement requires delivery of eight units with FOB Origin terms. The contract action is subject to applicable Free Trade Agreements and the World Trade Organization Government Procurement Agreement, as indicated by potential inclusion of relevant DFARS clauses in the final solicitation. While no specific incumbent contractor or award value range is identified in this pre-solicitation notice, the relatively modest quantity of eight units and the specialized nature of the component suggest this may be a replacement or supplemental procurement. Potential bidders should note that patterns, drawings, deviation lists, and purchase descriptions are not available through standard sources and should contact the DODSSP ASSIST Help Desk at the provided phone numbers or mailing address to obtain necessary technical documentation.
