About this opportunity

The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking repair and modification services for nine compressor units identified by NSN 7H-4310-016886069 (TDP Version 005). This procurement is being pursued as a sole-source contract under FAR 6.302-1 authority, as the Government does not possess the technical data or rights necessary to obtain repairs from alternative sources, and reverse engineering has been deemed economically infeasible. While this is not a competitive solicitation, all responsible sources may submit proposals, quotations, or capability statements to express interest and demonstrate capability. The Government will evaluate all submissions received within 45 days of the notice publication (or 30 days if using an existing Basic Ordering Agreement) to determine whether to proceed with competitive procurement. The critical deadline for responses is March 23, 2026.

This procurement carries no set-aside designation and does not identify any incumbent contractors or specific award value range. The contract requires delivery on an FOB Origin basis for a total of nine compressor units. The Government reserves sole discretion in determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement based on the responses received to this pre-solicitation notice. Since this is primarily a sole-source justification notice rather than a formal request for proposals, interested contractors should focus on clearly demonstrating their capability to perform the specialized repair and modification work for this particular compressor model within the specified timeframe.
