About this opportunity
The U.S. Army's Program Executive Office Ground Combat Systems (PEO GCS), operating through Army Contracting Command - Detroit Arsenal (ACC-DTA) and TACOM Life Cycle Management Command, is conducting a market survey to assess domestic industry capability to produce Composite Rubber Track (CRT) systems for heavy combat vehicles weighing 40-45 tons, along with supplemental kits and related test and logistics support. This is a Sources Sought Notice and Request for Information (RFI) intended for government planning purposes only, and responses are strictly voluntary with no compensation provided. The Army seeks information on respondents' manufacturing experience with CRT production, design and testing capabilities, ability to integrate CRTs into vehicle kits, and provision of technical data rights. The survey requests detailed information regarding production capacity, facilities, tooling, engineering capabilities, intellectual property rights, quality assurance systems, logistics support, and business systems capabilities. The deadline for submitting responses to this market survey was 5:00 pm EST on November 29, 2024, and this RFI does not commit the government to any future solicitation or award.
This notice includes no set-aside designation, and no incumbent contractors or award values are identified in the pre-solicitation materials. The market survey was posted on October 29, 2024, with the original response deadline of November 29, 2024, now having passed. The opportunity is classified under NAICS Code 336992 (Military Armored Vehicle, Tank, and Tank Component Manufacturing) and PSC Code 2350 (Combat, Assault, and Tactical Vehicles, Tracked), indicating the Army's focus on tracked vehicle component suppliers. While the notice does not specify contract quantity or monetary value, it reflects the Army's strategic interest in modernizing heavy vehicle platforms through advanced track technology. The information gathered through this market survey will inform the government's future acquisition strategy and determine the feasibility of transitioning combat vehicles to composite rubber track systems.
