Notice text

****NOTE: This synopsis and solicitation was previously posted under N0002411R5226. All solicitation documents and potential amendments to the solicitation shall be under this notice.

The Naval Sea Systems Command intends to issue a competitive solicitation for the production of the Common Display System (CDS) Variant A Units with Common Equipment Module (CEM) and the Console Only Units. This “build to print†requirement will require that these units be constructed in accordance with the CDS Variant A Technical Data Package provided as Government Furnished Information in the resultant solicitation. The requirements include all labor, material, and Other Direct Costs required to fabricate, assemble, and qualify (if necessary) the two configurations of the Variant A CDS units.

A firm fixed price IDIQ contract is contemplated with an estimated total quantity of 350 units for the offerors with the Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) proposal. The award is anticipated in late 4th quarter of 2011. The first delivery of qualified production units is scheduled to begin in June 2012 and extends through deliveries in June 2014. The deliveries are anticipated to be FOB Origin. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by the agency. It is anticipated that demonstrated US Navy display console production experience will be a technical acceptability factor for award. IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR PROSPECTIVE OFFERORS: Registration in the DOD Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database will be a prerequisite for receiving an award.

For more information on the CCR, refer to the CCR website at http://www.ccr.gov/index.cfm.

The solicitation will be posted electronically to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce On Line (NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil under its solicitation number on or about 01 September 2011.
