Notice text

The Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) intends to license, on an exclusive and/or non-exclusive basis, a technology related to the removal of acid gases (hydrogen sulfide, carbonyl sulfide, and carbon dioxide) from a synthesis gas, such as produced during the gasification of coal (US patent number 7,294,327; patent pending in Canada). The technology is intended for carbon dioxide capture and sequestration and, specifically, is a multi-stage cryogenic acid gas separation process for the purification of a hydrogen-rich synthesis gas stream by removal of acid gases and providing the removed carbon dioxide at high pressure for sequestration. Potential licensees or buyers should express interest in the technology in writing by mail, fax or e-mail to TVA no later than June 30, 2008, including a brief statement of your experience and capabilities to commercialize the technology. An information package is available to interested parties. Replies and requests for additional information should be directed to Tracey R. Willingham, Procurement Agent, Post Office Box 1010, Muscle Shoals, Alabama 35662-1010, Telephone (256) 314-7406, Fax (256) 386-3060, or e-mail trwillingham@tva.gov.
