About this opportunity

The Department of the Navy Information Warfare Systems Command (NAVWAR) is seeking potential contractors to support the production of modernized Command and Control Processor (C2P Mod) systems through a Request for Information (RFI). The Pre-solicitation Notice, posted on February 20, 2025, indicates that the Program Executive Officer (PEO) Command, Control, Communications, Computers, & Intelligence (C4I) is identifying sources with the technical capabilities necessary to meet government requirements for advanced command and control technology. The RFI aims to gather information from qualified vendors who can demonstrate expertise in developing sophisticated processor systems for military communication and control infrastructure. While specific evaluation criteria are not detailed in the notice, interested contractors will likely be assessed on their technical capabilities, past performance, and ability to meet complex defense technology specifications. The response deadline for this RFI is set for March 25, 2025, providing potential bidders approximately one month to prepare and submit their capabilities information.

The Pre-solicitation Notice indicates this is a standard procurement without any specific set-aside designations, meaning all qualified contractors can compete. The contract falls under Product Service Code (PSC) Category 58-P, which covers Communications, Detection, and Coherent Radiation systems, suggesting a specialized technological procurement. Although the notice does not specify potential award values or precise quantities, the procurement appears focused on producing modernized command and control processor systems for military applications. The solicitation seems aligned with ongoing military technology modernization efforts, particularly within naval communication and intelligence infrastructure. The procurement's classification under the Defense sector and its association with Naval Information Warfare Systems Command underscores the strategic importance of this technological development for military operational capabilities.
