About this opportunity
The Defense Logistics Agency Aviation (DLA Aviation) is conducting a combined Request for Information and Synopsis for a linear valve with NSN 1630-00-332-5721LE and part number 313707. The procurement aims to determine if alternative sources can satisfy the agency's requirements and improve small business access to acquisition information. The contracting office, located at Hill Air Force Base in Utah, is seeking to enhance competition by identifying potential contracting and subcontracting opportunities. Interested parties must submit their capability statements, proposals, or quotations by January 23, 2025, to demonstrate their ability to provide the required commercial item. The solicitation is being pursued under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(C)(1), which suggests limited availability of sources for these specific supplies.
The procurement is not set aside for small businesses and is expected to involve approximately 70 valves with an estimated delivery schedule of 20 months after receipt of order. Hydri-Aire, Inc. has been suggested as a potential subcontracting opportunity for interested firms. The proposed acquisition will follow FAR 12 procedures and is classified under NAICS code 336413 for Other Aircraft Parts and Auxiliary Equipment Manufacturing. Foreign participation is not permitted at the prime contractor level, and the government has determined that obtaining data or rights from additional sources would be uneconomical. The solicitation number SPRHA1-25-R-0324 will remain in the archive until January 23, 2026, providing an extended window for potential contractors to review and respond to the opportunity.
