About this opportunity

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) is seeking to award a new sole-source contract to IQVIA for the collection and management of IQVIA's proprietary databases. These databases, which include National Sales Perspectives, National Prescription Audit, and others, provide detailed prescription drug pricing, utilization, and related data that CMS requires to analyze Medicare, Medicaid, and Marketplace drug spending and activity in support of the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) drug pricing provisions. CMS plans to award a base year contract with four option years to IQVIA, the only source capable of providing the necessary data and services.

This is not a request for proposals, but CMS will consider capability statements from other responsible sources that can demonstrate the ability to provide the required data and services. The contract will be awarded under NAICS code 541519, Other Computer Related Services, and PSC code 7A21-P, IT and Telecom - Business Application Software (Perpetual License Software). The due date for capability statements is August 14, 2024.
