About this opportunity
Paragraph 1:
The Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) is conducting a Request for Information (RFI) to explore cognitive-behavioral programming options for the corrections field. The RFI seeks information on the feasibility, efficacy, and costs of various delivery modalities for cognitive-behavioral interventions (CBIs) and cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) programs, including traditional classroom-based, virtual/online, blended, self-directed, and asynchronous learning approaches. The RFI also requests details on the pros and cons of open-ended versus closed-ended CBI/CBT programs, as well as the specific needs for culturally responsive, gender responsive, and trauma-informed programming. Additionally, it inquires about facilitator qualifications and traits, and the success rates in recidivism and re-offense reduction for CBI/CBT programs delivered in institutional and community settings. Questions should be submitted to the Contracting Officer by June 10, 2024.
Paragraph 2:
This RFI is not a set-aside opportunity and does not commit the government to any future contract. The RFI is solely for information and planning purposes, and the government will not pay for any costs associated with responding. NIC may enter into a cooperative agreement to build a new open-ended CBI/CBT program based on the responses received, but no specific award value or budget range is provided.
