About this opportunity

The Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Air Force Sustainment Center is soliciting a one-time service contract for testing, evaluation, machining, and sample preparation related to the CoCr Powder Study at the Oklahoma City-Air Logistics Complex. The contractor will conduct tensile and fatigue testing and machining to evaluate mechanical properties derived from additive manufacturing parameters of the base metal. This work will generate data to support the implementation of a CoCr powder reuse plan and inform design parameters for future workload. A Firm Fixed Price contract type is contemplated for this requirement. The pre-solicitation notice was posted on January 23, 2026, with a due date for initial responses of January 26, 2026. All prospective contractors must register in the System for Award Management (SAM) at sam.gov to be eligible for award consideration, and submissions will be handled electronically through Beta.sam.gov.

This opportunity is designated as Full and Open Competition with no set-aside provisions. The contract will be awarded under the authority of 10 USC 2304(c)(1), and the applicable NAICS code is 541380 (Testing Laboratories and Services) with a small business size standard of $19 million. The estimated period of performance is 10 months from the award date. No foreign participation is permitted on this contract. Interested contractors should direct inquiries to Sondra Groth, the designated Contract Specialist, though telephone requests are not accepted. The specific equipment requirements and government-furnished property details are referenced in Appendix A and the GPF Attachment, which will be provided in the formal solicitation.
