About this opportunity

The Colorado Army National Guard (COARNG) is seeking qualified contractors to provide clothing alteration services for Army Soldier uniforms, specifically for Class A and Class B male and female uniform sets. This Sources Sought announcement is designed to conduct market research and identify potential service providers capable of handling uniform alterations across three geographic regions in Colorado: West (Grand Junction, Montrose), North (Fort Collins, Denver, Windsor, Aurora, Watkins, Fort Lupton, Longmont), and South (Colorado Springs, Pueblo, Alamosa). The key contract requirements include picking up uniforms during drill weekends, completing alterations within 90 days, returning uniforms to units, and submitting quarterly rosters of completed alterations. Interested vendors must respond in writing by March 14, 2025, at 2:00pm Mountain Time, submitting responses via email to Sabrina.m.deramus.civ@army.mil. Respondents are required to provide company details including CAGE code, UEI number, business size, NAICS code, and point of contact information.

The pre-solicitation notice indicates no specific set-aside for small businesses, though vendors are asked to specify their small business status. The alterations will cover three primary uniform modification options: full Class A uniform alterations, partial Class B uniform adjustments, and partial conversions between Class B and Class A uniforms. Contractors must be able to size uniforms according to Army Regulations for Army Service Uniform (ASU) and Army Green Service Uniform (AGSU), with optional services including pressing and dry cleaning after alterations. The solicitation emphasizes that this is a market research effort and does not guarantee a contract award, with responses limited to five pages and no pricing information requested. While specific award values are not disclosed, the comprehensive geographic coverage and detailed uniform alteration requirements suggest a potentially significant contract opportunity for qualified apparel contractors specializing in military uniform modifications.
