The Bureau of Reclamation intends to issue a Request for Quotation for a firm fixed price order for Supply, Delivery and Placement of Spawning Gravel in Clear Creek, Shasta County, California. This procurement is set-aside for HUBZone Small Businesses only. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 212319 with the size standard of 500 employees. This notice is not a request for quotation and the information presented in this announcement will not obligate the Bureau of Reclamation in any manner.
Solicitation R10PS20103 will be posted to http://ideas.nbc.gov on or about March 13, 2010. The date for receipt of proposals will be approximately March 26, 2010. The solicitation must be downloaded at the above website; no paper copy of this solicitation will be distributed. Prospective contractors MUST be actively registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database at http://www.ccr.gov to be eligible for award. The principal components of the work to be performed include the following: The purpose of this project is to procure, transport, and place spawning gravel at three locations on Clear Creek to include the following: 1) Below NEED Camp Bridge; 2) Phase 3A Upper; and 3) Phase 3A Lower, Shasta County, CA. The work to be performed consists of 7 Tasks and 3 SubTasks as follows:
Task 1 - Obtain permits for implementation of all spawning gravel injections.
Task 2 - Provide job inspections to include but not limited to being present at each injection site while gravel is being delivered and placed, and be present for any pre-injection work.
Task 3 - Water quality testing required by Regional Water Quality Control Boards' Section 401 Water Quality Certification.
Task 4 - Sample gravel for size and cleanliness.
Task 5 - Provide dust control at each spawning gravel location.
Task 6 - Inject spawning gravel at three locations.
Task 6 A- Inject 1,000 tons of spawning gravel at the Below NEED Camp Injection Location.
Task 6 B- Inject 1,000 tons of gravel at the Phase 3A Upper Injection Location.
Task 6 C- Inject 1,000 tons of gravel at the Phase 3A Lower Injection Location.
Task 7 - Prepare final report.
