About this opportunity

The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) is seeking sources to supply Circuit Card Assemblies, Data Converter Cabinets, and Single Board Computer components in support of the MK 99 Fire Control System. Interested firms must be active in the Joint Certification Program and eligible to receive Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI). The Request for Information (RFI) requires respondents to provide detailed information about their capabilities, including facility infrastructure, supply chain management, production approach, and potential barriers to entry. Evaluation criteria will focus on firms' technical competence, manufacturing readiness, and ability to provide long-term pricing stability. Responses are due by May 15, 2025, and must be submitted as a comprehensive document not exceeding 30 pages, using 12-point Times New Roman font.

There is no specific set-aside designation for this opportunity, and Raytheon is noted as the original equipment manufacturer of the current MK 99 Fire Control System. The RFI requests respondents to provide estimated unit pricing, including potential quantity discounts and non-recurring engineering (NRE) costs, along with detailed lead time expectations and potential mitigation strategies. Firms are expected to demonstrate the ability to provide price certainty over a 3-5 year period and discuss their capacity to produce the required components. The opportunity falls under NAICS Category 334511 for Search, Detection, Navigation, Guidance, Aeronautical, and Nautical System and Instrument Manufacturing, with a Product Service Code (PSC) of 1260 for Fire Control Designating and Indicating Equipment. While no specific award value is mentioned, the comprehensive nature of the RFI suggests a potential significant procurement opportunity for qualified vendors.
