About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking to procure 3 circuit card assemblies (NSN 7H-5998-015334858-VU) for repair and modification purposes. The procurement involves a technical data package (Version 011) with full government rights and no technical or manufacturing restrictions. Contractors must have an inspection system that conforms to MIL-I-45208A, which will be certified by a joint DCMA/NAVSUP WSS survey team. All firms interested in responding must include their CAGE code with solicitation requests, and this is classified as a Level 1 item that will only be acquired from approved sources. The pre-solicitation notice was posted on December 17, 2024, with responses due by January 16, 2025, and interested parties have 15 days to identify their capability to meet the government's requirements.
The procurement is 100% set aside for small business concerns, with potential specific set-aside categories including HUBZone, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, Economically Disadvantaged Women-Owned, Women-Owned Small Business, and Historically Black College or University and Minority Institution businesses. The government will not be using FAR Part 12 policies for commercial item acquisition, indicating this is a specialized military procurement. While no specific award value is mentioned, the solicitation will be for 3 units with delivery FOB origin. Contractors will need to demonstrate compliance with military inspection standards and have the technical capability to manufacture or modify these specific circuit card assemblies. The procurement process suggests a competitive but carefully controlled acquisition approach focused on small business participation and strict technical qualifications.
