About this opportunity

The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking to procure a Circuit Card Assembly (NSN 7H-5998-014952359-CH) for repair and modification purposes. The specific item is an A4511A/120 circuit card with a required quantity of 29 units to be delivered to DLA Distribution in New Cumberland, PA. The government has determined it is uneconomical to purchase data rights or reverse engineer the part, which limits potential sources for this procurement. Award will be contingent upon the offeror, product, or manufacturer meeting specific qualification requirements in accordance with FAR clause 52.209-1. Interested parties have 15 days from the notice date (April 28, 2025) to identify their capability to satisfy the requirement with a commercial item, and all firms are required to include their CAGE code on solicitation requests.

This pre-solicitation notice is designated as a Total Small Business set-aside, indicating only small businesses can compete for the contract. While specific award value is not disclosed, the procurement involves specialized electronic components within the PSC Category 5998 for Electrical and Electronic Assemblies. Documentation for this opportunity can be obtained through the DoD Single Stock Point (DODSSP) at Document Automation and Production Service, with most documents available in Adobe PDF format via ASSIST-Online. Potential vendors without internet access can contact the DODSSP ASSIST Help Desk at 215-697-2667 for additional information. The government has explicitly stated they are not using FAR Part 12 policies for commercial item acquisition in this solicitation, which suggests a more specialized procurement approach.
