About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking to procure a Circuit Card Assembly (NSN 7H-5998-011429029-GL) for repair and modification, with a requirement for 6 units to be delivered to DLA Distribution in New Cumberland, PA. The proposed contract action will be negotiated under FAR 6.302-1, which allows for single-source procurement, and the government does not currently own the technical data rights for this component. Interested parties have 45 days from the publication date to submit proposals, capability statements, or expressions of interest, with a specific deadline of April 14, 2025. The government has determined that purchasing or reverse engineering the technical data would be uneconomical, and they are not utilizing FAR Part 12 policies for commercial item acquisition. Potential vendors can access relevant documentation through the DODSSP ASSIST-Online system or by contacting the DODSSP Help Desk.
This procurement is designated as a Total Small Business set-aside, targeting small business entities capable of fulfilling the specialized circuit card assembly requirements. The solicitation covers a specific circuit card assembly (900-13308) with precise technical specifications, though no incumbent contractor is mentioned in the notice. While no specific award value is disclosed, the procurement involves a relatively small quantity of 6 units, suggesting a potentially limited-scope contract. Interested parties have a 15-day window to identify their capability to satisfy the requirement with a commercial item. The government retains sole discretion in determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement based on the responses received. Vendors seeking to participate must carefully review the technical documentation and be prepared to meet the unique technical requirements of this specialized electronic component repair and modification contract.
