About this opportunity

The Department of Defense's Air Force Material Command (AFMC) has issued a Notice of Contract Action (NOCA) for Christmas Lights Installation services at Edwards Air Force Base in California. The notice indicates the intent to award a sole source contract to K-CON, Inc. located in Charleston, South Carolina. Through extensive market research, including outreach to AbilityOne, Nicor, and posting on GSA eBuy, the Air Force determined K-CON is the only known vendor capable of providing the required services. The contract will be processed under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) sections 12 and 8, which cover commercial item acquisitions and required sources for supplies and services. The contract is categorized under NAICS code 238910 for Site Preparation Contractors, with a size standard of $19 million.

Interested parties are invited to submit written responses demonstrating their capability to meet the requirements by Tuesday, December 4, 2024, at 11:59 PM Pacific Daylight Time. The notice is set aside for small businesses, and contractors must provide sufficient detail to allow government representatives to evaluate their potential to fulfill the contract. The specific requirements include installation of Christmas tree lighting, mounting, decorating, and subsequent tear down of decorations. Contractors must submit their responses via email to two specified Air Force contacts: elsa.ortiz_aguilar@us.af.mil and christopher.barnes.50@us.af.mil. No reimbursement will be provided for any costs associated with responding to this notice, and no formal solicitation currently exists.
