About this opportunity

The Department of Labor Office of the Assistant Secretary for Administration and Management intends to sole source subscription services for aggregated current-month chicken egg and select seafood price data to Urner Barry (Expana), under FAR 6.302-1 authority, with a response deadline of July 3, 2026.

The procurement targets monthly price data collection across six U.S. regions (Northeast, Midwest, Southeast, South Central, Northwest, and California). For chicken eggs, the vendor must deliver weighted-average prices by six size categories (Jumbo, Extra Large, Large, Medium, Small, and Breaker Stock), calculated from egg processor wholesale transactions over the first fourteen days of each month and reported in dollars per dozen. Data must reflect all domestic wholesale channels including sales to retailers, wholesalers, distributors, exporters, importers, traders, and brokers. For tuna and shrimp, the vendor must provide weighted-average prices by volume across all U.S. domestic wholesale channels, reported in dollars per pound on a less-than-truckload basis and calculated over the first fourteen days of the month. This is a notice of sole-source intent, not a request for proposals or alternative sources. Interested parties may submit comments on the proposed sole-source justification by the July 3 deadline.
