Solicitation:

This is the solicitation notice for the Chaparral Mastication - Thinning - and Fireline Construction project.  The solicitation will be issued as a request for Quotation (RFQ) requiring the potential contractor to provide responses to evaluation criteria comprised of technical and price factors.

Description:

This solicitation is for mechanical thinning/mastication and fire line construction. One contract shall be awarded for all activities. There are 70 acres of thinning/mastication and 22,090 lineal feet of fire line construction to be done on the Cuba Ranger District of the Santa Fe National Forest in the State of New Mexico. The treatments will reduce ladder and crown fuels on the perimeter of a proposed RX burn and create a barrier to fire spread.

The Contractor shall furnish all labor, transportation, equipment, tools, supervision, materials and any necessary incidentals to accomplish work on this project.

Solicitation documents will be available for download from this website on or about March 19, 2015.

Prospetive contractors shall submit their response in two separate parts.  One part will be the technical response to the evaluation criteria in section M and the second part will be the prices per the schedule of items in section B. 

Prospective contractors shall submit their quotations via e-mail to Joseph Varoz, CO (
jvaroz@fs.fed.us).

Set-Aside:
This project is 100% set aside for small business concerns.

SAM REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS:
Prospective contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) prior to award. SAM is a consolidation of the former Central Contractor Reqistration (CCR) and On-line Representation and Certification Application (ORCA) databases.
