About this opportunity
The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIRSYSCOM) is seeking sources for assistance with the CH-53K Low Rate Initial Production (LRIP) Lot 5 and 6 airworthiness validation process and Aircraft Inspection Discrepancy Reports. The procurement will be awarded as a sole-source, firm fixed price incentive firm modification to existing Contract N0001912C0047, with responses due by December 5, 2025, at noon EST. The work involves providing engineering data requirements, operating limitations, restrictions, and other necessary technical documentation specific to Lot 5 and 6 LRIP configurations. This sources sought notice is being posted for informational purposes only to satisfy Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement requirements and does not constitute a formal solicitation or commitment to award a contract.
This procurement is not subject to any set-aside designations and will be awarded directly to Sikorsky, A Lockheed Martin Company, as the incumbent contractor. The sources sought notice does not disclose specific award values, budget ranges, or numerical details regarding quantities or service timelines. The award will be pursued under the statutory authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), which permits sole-source procurement when only one responsible source can satisfy agency requirements. While the government will consider all responses received by the December 5, 2025, deadline, this notice explicitly states that no funds are available to reimburse respondents for preparing responses and that all submitted information is strictly voluntary.
