About this opportunity

The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) awarded a delivery order N0001924F2573P00001 to Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation for the CH-53K® Inertial Measurement Unit ASIC/FET Obsolescence Redesign, valued at $45,007,729. The contract was awarded on March 6, 2025, on a sole-source basis under Basic Ordering Agreement N00019-23-G-0002, utilizing the exception for "Only One Responsible Source" as defined by 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). Sikorsky was selected due to being the exclusive designer, developer, and manufacturer of the CH-53K airframe, with unique technical capabilities that make them the only contractor capable of meeting the government's specific requirements for this critical heavy lift helicopter system upgrade. The non-competitive procurement was justified by Sikorsky's proprietary knowledge and technical expertise in the CH-53K weapon system, which has been exclusively developed by the company since 2005.
