About this opportunity

The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) at NAS Patuxent River, MD intends to negotiate a sole-source contract modification with Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation for maintaining and repairing CH-53K Government Furnished Property (GFP) currently located at the contractor's facilities. The contract will be awarded under the existing contract N00019-22-C-0004, utilizing the authority of 10 U.S.C.2304(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1 for procuring from the only responsible source. Sikorsky is considered the sole qualified contractor due to being the designer, developer, and exclusive producer of the CH-53K aircraft, with unparalleled technical knowledge and engineering support experience. The government does not possess adequate license rights to the technical data package necessary for competitive procurement, further justifying the sole-source approach. Interested parties may identify their capabilities by responding in writing via email, U.S. mail, or facsimile to Bradley Lysaght or Kevin Ritter before the June 18, 2025 closing date.

The pre-solicitation notice indicates no specific set-aside designations for this contract opportunity. Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation, a Lockheed Martin Company located in Stratford, CT, is the incumbent and proposed sole contractor for this procurement. While specific award values are not disclosed, the contract involves maintenance and repair services for CH-53K aircraft government-furnished property. Companies interested in potential subcontracting opportunities can contact Jason Lockwood, Sikorsky's Subcontracting Manager, at 203-225-3657. The procurement falls under NAICS Category 336411 (Aircraft Manufacturing) and PSC Category 1520 (Aircraft, Rotary Wing), indicating the specialized nature of the required services and equipment.
