About this opportunity

The Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) is procuring conference space for its Agricultural Commodity Futures Conference (AgCon), scheduled for October 22-24, 2026, at the Marriott Overland Park Hotel in Overland Park, Kansas. The CFTC intends to award this requirement as a sole-source contract under RFO FAR 12.102(a), citing that only one source is available to meet the need given the joint planning coordination with Kansas State University, which has designated the Overland Park Marriott as the conference location. This notice is not a competitive solicitation but rather an opportunity for interested parties to submit written responses demonstrating their capability to fulfill the requirement by 5:00 p.m. EST on April 15, 2026. The Government will consider all responses received by the deadline solely for market research purposes and reserves the right to determine whether to compete this requirement at its sole discretion. No formal evaluation criteria have been outlined, and the Government anticipates making an award decision on or about April 30, 2026.

No set-aside designation has been applied to this procurement. The current contractor or incumbent is the Marriott Overland Park Hotel, which has been selected as the sole venue for this conference. No specific award value or budget range has been disclosed in this pre-solicitation notice. The conference will span three days in October 2026, and prospective respondents should note that the Government will not reimburse any costs associated with preparing a response to this announcement. All written responses must include sufficient detail to establish the respondent's capability to provide the required conference accommodations and services, though oral communications will not be accepted.
