This project is a Total Small Business Set Aside.
The NAICS code for this project is 115310. The small business size standard is no greater than $19 million in average annual receipts. Only offers from businesses that are certified to meet both Small Business status and the size standard will be considered. The Government intends to award three to five IDIQ contracts for Mechanical Fuels Reduction and Vegetation Management located on six national forests in Central California. The types of work will include all activities to maintain a healthy forest environment including, but not limited to: mastication, tree thinning, machine piling, and minor logging activities. The task orders against these contracts will be competed amongst the IDIQ contract awardees over the life of the contracts. The maximum allowed to be ordered against all contracts is a total of $6.5 million. The expected IDIQ term is a one-year base contract with four one-year options, not to exceed five years.
The solicitation package will be uploaded approximately Monday, December 5, 2016. The date of award is expected to be within 60 days after the actual response date, which will be stated in the package and is subject to change with amendments to the solicitation.
It is the contractor’s responsibility to monitor the Federal Business Opportunities website for amendments.

The purpose of this notice is to meet the FAR 5.201.
