About this opportunity

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Research and Development Center (ERDC), Geotechnical and Structures Laboratory (GSL), has issued a Special Notice regarding the procurement of Cementitious Repair Materials. The U.S. Air Force (USAF) is seeking a European-manufactured rapid-set concrete material to certify for use in repairing damaged airfield pavements in Europe, and the GSL intends to award a sole-source contract to CTS Cement Manufacturing Corp. for their Rapid Set AC Concrete Mix, which will serve as a control representative for the testing and evaluation process.

The purpose of this Special Notice is to invite any responsible sources to submit capability statements, proposals, or quotations for consideration, as the government may decide to conduct a competitive procurement rather than a sole-source award. The deadline for submitting responses is 1:00 PM CST on May 28, 2024, and the applicable NAICS code is 327310 (Cement Manufacturing) with a size standard of 1,000 employees. Responses must demonstrate the vendor's ability to fulfill the requirement and provide details on their past experience in similar endeavors, as well as references. The government will use the information received solely to determine whether to proceed with a competitive procurement or a sole-source award to CTS Cement Manufacturing Corp.
