About this opportunity
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Office of Acquisition Services is conducting market research to determine the acquisition method for the Advancing Nutrition, Physical Activity, and Obesity and Chronic Disease Prevention through Epidemiology, Surveillance and Data Modernization requirement, with capability information due November 10, 2026. No set-aside is used, and no solicitation is active. Possible NAICS codes are 541690 (Other Scientific and Technical Consulting Services, $19 million size standard) and 541611 (Administrative Management and General Management Consulting Services, $24.5 million size standard).
Services are primarily performed onsite at CDC facilities in Atlanta, with limited situational telework, during 7am to 6pm Eastern Time with core hours of 9-11am and 1-3pm ET. The draft Performance Work Statement describes a base period from September 15, 2027 through September 14, 2030, plus two optional one-year extensions, and eleven optional tasks. Work supports the Division of Nutrition, Physical Activity, and Obesity (DNPAO) and includes Safe Routes to School data analysis, Policy Surveillance Analysis of Early Care and Education state licensing regulations, and contract management. Work must comply with CDC information security, privacy, Section 508, and AI governance requirements. The government furnishes laptops and identification badges, and the contractor provides all other supplies, equipment, and facilities.
Respondents must submit organization details, including size and type of ownership, and a tailored capability statement with supporting documentation. The questionnaire asks for up to three relevant projects with customer, contract value, period of performance, and CPARS availability, along with estimated subcontracting needs, lead time from award notification to performance start, and anticipated response time. Teaming arrangements require an explanation of administrative and management structure. Participation is voluntary, and the government assumes no responsibility for response costs.
