About this opportunity

The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking repair services for 25 units of CB Stator Sleeves under NSN 3120-014828687. This procurement is specifically limited to repair and modification services only, as replacement or new procurement will not be considered. The government does not own the drawings, data rights, or technical data packages necessary to procure these services from multiple sources, and has determined it would be uneconomical to purchase such rights or reverse engineer the parts. The proposed contract action will be conducted under FAR 6.302-1 authority, indicating the government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source. The due date for this opportunity is October 30, 2025, with interested parties able to access relevant military specifications and standards through the DoD Single Stock Point or ASSIST-Online platform.

This procurement does not utilize any set-aside designations and falls under the bearings, plain, unmounted product service category (PSC 3120). The contract requires delivery of 25 each repaired stator sleeves on an FOB origin basis, with work to be performed in accordance with reference number 6D59061-001 and technical data package version 003. No specific incumbent contractor or potential award values are mentioned in the pre-solicitation notice. The single-source nature of this procurement suggests the government has identified a particular vendor with the necessary technical expertise and proprietary knowledge to perform these specialized repair services. The timeline extends from the July 25, 2023 posting date through the October 30, 2025 due date, providing a substantial window for the procurement process.
