About this opportunity

This solicitation from the Department of State seeks to replace the canopy roofs on two covered walkways at the U.S. Embassy in Rangoon, Myanmar totaling approximately 3,500 square feet. Offerors must remove existing roofing materials and install new tongue-and-groove wood decks, fascia, blocking, self-adhering underlayment, standing seam metal roofing and flashings. The evaluation will consider technical approach, past performance, and price. Proposals are due by March 20, 2024.

There is no set-aside designated for this requirement to be performed in Yangon, Myanmar. As the place of performance is overseas, the NAICS and PSC codes likely relate to general construction services. Given the scope of full roof replacement and adjustment of structural wood members, the potential award value could range from $500,000 to $1,000,000. Exact quantities are not provided, but drawings specify replacement of two canopy roofs labeled CW1 Partial and CW2.
