About this opportunity
The Department of the Army has issued a Special Notice for a Precision Grenadier System (PGS) Industry Day event to be held on August 20-21, 2024. The event will be hosted by the Product Manager Soldier Weapons (PdM SW) and is intended to provide industry with information on the PGS program, which is currently funded and expected to begin in the first quarter of fiscal year 2026.
The purpose of the Industry Day is to give industry an overview of the PGS system, the government's acquisition strategy and schedule, and to facilitate questions and answers, teaming among vendors, and one-on-one meetings to increase the government's knowledge of industry capabilities. Vendors interested in participating must submit a Non-Disclosure Agreement, RCDDAC Form 1350, and DD Form 2345 by July 31, 2024. The government will not accept proposals at this time, and the event is solely for information exchange and government planning purposes. A lack of participation in the Industry Day does not preclude vendors from future PGS solicitations, if any are issued.
Notice text
Product Manager Soldier Weapons (PdM SW) will be hosting a Precision Grenadier System (PGS) Industry Day on August 20-21, 2024 at The Homeland Defense Technology Center at 3510 Snake Hill Road in Rockaway, New Jersey. Registration shall start at 0800 hrs. Industry Day shall commence at 0900 hrs. The PGS program is currently funded and is anticipated to begin in 1QFY26. The purpose of the Industry Day is to provide industry with the following information:
1) Complete system overview, intent, employment and operation as outlined in the approved PGS requirement document.
2) Provide industry the anticipated program strategy, and schedule.
3) Facilitate questions and answers to clarify Government’s strategy and requirement.
4) Facilitate Teaming among Industry Day attending vendors to provide a full system solution.
5) Increase Government’s knowledge of industry capabilities through vendor one-on-ones.
DESCRIPTION:
The PGS is a man portable integrated weapon system that enables precision engagements to rapidly defeat various targets in exposed and defilade positions with increased lethality and precision compared to current squad capabilities. The PGS will provide an overmatch to comparable threat grenade launchers in near peer formations in future operating environments (jungle, urban, woodland, subterranean, arctic, desert, day/night). The PGS consists of a weapon, a fire control, and a suite of ammunition which enables the user to engage targets in defilade/cover, engage unmanned aircraft system (UAS) targets, and engage close combat targets.
