SAIC was awarded a contract, after a competitive procurement, to support Aberdeen Proving Grounds requirement for Rapid Prototyping and Technology Insertion.  In so doing, they must purchase an additional Indi Check Calib  ration System from Cincinnati Precision Instruments, Inc..

Cincinnati Precision is the only company that makes this item.  It is specifically made for the Marine requirement."The Marines already have the INDI-CHECKTM calibration system in house for their calibration lab as well as in their shelters that support the unit's calibration facility. Cincinnati Precision is the only company that makes this system to USMC specifications.    All builds are clones of the previous builds.  If any are changed then the USMC is required to find a replacement all builds, which we are currently up to (12) with that new item.  A change in calibration system would be more costly to the program.
