CABLE AND REEL ASSEMBLY (AY)

The proposed procurement is for NSN 1710-01-454-7454, Cable and Reel Assembly made in accordance to 80020 NAVY drawings.  NAVAIR Part Number 524631-1 is a Critical Safety Item for the Aircraft Launch and Recovery Equipment (ALRE).   Solicitation is unrestricted in which approved sources are designated by NAVAIR.   Contract type will be firm-fixed priced for a quantity of 195 Assemblies.   Item is for two (2) DLA Stock Locations; Tracy, CA (W62G2T) and New Cumberland, PA (W25G1U).  Requested delivery is approximately 800 days after date of award which includes Contractor and Government First Article testing.   Solicitation will require FOB Destination with Inspection and Acceptance at Origin.  While price may be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final award decision will be based upon a combination of price, delivery, past performance and other evaluation factors as described in the solicitation.

The following applies:

Based upon market research, the Government is not using the policies contained in Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in its solicitation for the described supplies or services.  However, interested persons may identify to the contracting officer their interest and capability to satisfy the Government’s requirement with a commercial item within 15 days of this notice.

One or more of the items under this acquisition may be subject to Agreement on Government Procurement approved and implemented in the Unites States by the Trade Agreements Act of 1979.  All offers shall be in the English language and in U.S. Dollars.  All interested suppliers may submit an offer.

This notice is to announce that the NSN will be solicited in the near future on July 11, 2022.   This solicitation will be available on the Internet at http://www.dibbs.bsm.  Due to system constraints, it may take as long as three (3) business days from the stated issue date for the solicitation to post to DIBBs.
