About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is procuring nonpowered valves under the C.O.R.D. contract opportunity, with the solicitation due on March 12, 2026. The specific product being acquired is identified by NSN 7H-4820-015327968-L1 (TDP VER 002), with delivery required to Portsmouth Naval Shipyard in Kittery, Maine. Award will be made only to offerors whose products or services meet the qualification requirements specified in FAR clause 52.209-1 at the time of award, with the contracting officer's office providing additional details on these qualifications in the forthcoming solicitation. The Government has determined based on market research that commercial item acquisition policies under FAR Part 12 will not be used; however, interested parties may submit evidence of their capability to satisfy requirements with commercial items within 15 days of this notice. This acquisition is subject to Free Trade Agreements and Trade Agreements provisions, with applicable DFARS clauses to be included in the final solicitation.
This procurement is designated as a total small business set-aside, meaning only small business concerns are eligible to compete for the contract. The specific type of small business set-aside—whether HUBZone, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, Economically Disadvantaged Women-Owned, Women-Owned, or Historically Black College or University and Minority Institution—will be determined and included in the formal solicitation. The Government is seeking 25 units of the specified valve product for delivery to the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard. No incumbent contractor or award value information is disclosed in this pre-solicitation notice. Interested vendors should monitor for the formal solicitation release, as the pre-solicitation notice period extends through March 12, 2026, allowing potential bidders time to prepare their proposals and ensure compliance with all applicable set-aside and qualification requirements.
