About this opportunity
The Department of the Army Medical Command is seeking a contractor to provide comprehensive bulk laundry and dry cleaning services for Womack Army Medical Center at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. The contract requires processing approximately 1.5 million pounds of government-owned medical linen annually, including hospital linens, patient privacy curtains, window drapes, doctor coats, and dietary uniforms, with all items to be picked up, processed, and returned within 48 hours. Contractors must have a minimum of 36 months of hospital laundry service experience and current Healthcare Laundry Accreditation Council (HLAC) accreditation to qualify. The evaluation will be based on technical capability, price, and past performance, with technical and past performance combined being more important than price, and contractors must demonstrate 95-100% compliance across multiple performance metrics with no more than two valid complaints per month. The solicitation closing date has been extended to August 27, 2025 at 1400 PM, following an earlier amendment that extended the questions and answers deadline to August 19, 2025.
This opportunity is set aside as a Total Small Business procurement under the Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB) program with a small business size standard of $32.5 million. The current incumbent contractor is Halifax Linen, which has been providing these services previously. The contract will be structured as a firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) agreement with a base period running from October 1, 2025 through September 30, 2026, and includes provisions for potential six-month service extensions. The contractor must have monthly processing capacity between 75,000-130,000 pounds of hospital linen and capability to process up to 450 privacy curtains and window drapes monthly. Services will be performed at Fort Liberty, North Carolina 28310, with daily pickup and return of bulk linen Monday through Friday and dry cleaning services provided three days per week for the medical center's 48 staffed bed capacity.
