About this opportunity
This solicitation has been cancelled as of May 14, 2026 (Amendment 0002).
The Naval Supply Systems Command issued RFQ N0040626Q0125 on May 6 for 480 units of brand-name OEM Enersys POWER SAFE DDmP 85-27 replacement batteries with connector kits for shipboard UPS systems on the USS MOUNT WHITNEY (LCC-20), with an original due date of May 8 extended to May 11 via Amendment 0001 (May 7). The procurement is a 100% Women-Owned Small Business set-aside. Place of performance is United States; delivery is required by September 30, 2026 to MSC Warehouse, Norfolk, Virginia.
The requirement specifies 480 batteries (240 units arranged in series configuration, 20 wide by 6 high, installed back-to-back on existing racks across two UPS rooms). Award will be firm fixed price to the responsible offeror offering best value considering technical factors (delivery date and past performance), price, and technical acceptability, in no relative order of importance. The Government will evaluate offers without discussions. Award was anticipated approximately two weeks after solicitation closing.
The solicitation incorporates an individual class waiver to the Nonmanufacturer Rule, permitting small business offerors to supply products of any size manufacturer. Authorized distributors must provide letters and OEM documentation establishing product genuineness and traceability. Technical drawings and manufacturer certificates confirming performance specifications are available from OEM Enersys to authorized distributors; no on-site capacity testing is required. Invoices must be submitted via Wide Area Workflow in accordance with DFARS 252.232-7006. NAICS code is 335910, Battery Manufacturing; PSC is 6135, Batteries, Nonrechargeable.
