About this opportunity

NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center Puget Sound is soliciting OEM CRANE butterfly valves through Request for Quote (RFQ) N0040626QS212, a firm fixed-price commercial contract issued under FAR Part 12. The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command seeks to procure these valves to support vessel operations and maintenance requirements. Offerors must be OEM CRANE or authorized distributors, with authorized distributors required to submit OEM documentation with their quotes. The evaluation criteria include technical merit (including delivery capability), price, and past performance in no order of relative importance, with a single award anticipated for all items. The offer due date is March 10, 2026 at 11:45 PM PST, with the government anticipating award on or about March 13, 2026. Questions regarding the solicitation should be directed to Contracting Officer Crista Carrier at Crista.m.carrier2.civ@us.navy.mil.

This is a sole-source procurement restricted to MCC Holdings, Inc. dba CRANE VALVE NORTH AMERICA, with no small business set-aside applied. The procurement requirement consists of 18 units of 10-inch butterfly valves (Part Number 10JG577315) to support the MSC USNS Sacagawea (T-AKE-2) vessel, with a required delivery date of October 15, 2026. The justification for single-source procurement is based on the specialized nature of OEM CRANE replacement parts and their necessity to maintain warranties, ensure reliability, and guarantee vessel equipment compliance with OEM recommendations and regulatory requirements. Performance of work will take place in the United States, with delivery on an FOB destination basis to MSC SSU BATS San Diego located at 9284 Balboa Ave., San Diego, California 92123. All contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) and submit invoices via Wide Area WorkFlow (WAWF).
