About this opportunity
The Navajo Area Indian Health Service's Kayenta Health Center in Arizona has issued a Special Notice regarding their intent to negotiate a non-competitive Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) with Bighorn Ridgerunners, LLC for various bio-medical maintenance supplies. The Department of Health and Human Services Indian Health Service published this notice on August 20, 2025, indicating their plan to establish a firm-fixed-price agreement for supplies including repair parts, replacement batteries, electrical components, disposable tools, personal protective equipment, cleaning supplies, and waste containers. These supplies will be ordered on an as-needed basis to maintain medical equipment at the facility. The contract structure includes a base year plus option years, with a total potential value not exceeding $7.5 million. The agency is citing FAR 13.501(a)(1) as justification for the single-source procurement approach.
The primary purpose of this Special Notice is to provide other potential contractors an opportunity to demonstrate their capabilities before the government finalizes the non-competitive award to Bighorn Ridgerunners, LLC. Interested parties must submit capability statements electronically to Supervisory Contract Specialist Jerlyn Begay by 1:00 PM EDT on August 22, 2025, with oral communications explicitly prohibited. The government emphasizes that this notice is not a solicitation and they are under no obligation to acknowledge receipt of submissions or provide feedback to respondents. Contractors should note that the government retains sole discretion in determining whether to proceed with competitive procurement based on the responses received. The information submitted will be evaluated exclusively to assess whether a competitive procurement process should be initiated, and no formal solicitation will be issued regardless of the outcome.
