About this opportunity
The Defense Logistics Agency Aviation is seeking to procure 145 units of Bottle Oxygen, Aircraft (NSN 7R-1680-016432918-V2) through a pre-solicitation notice. This procurement is highly specialized, requiring potential contractors to have prior Government source approval due to the flight-critical nature of the item. Vendors must submit comprehensive technical data and source approval documentation as outlined in the NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support (NAVSUP WSS) Source Approval Information Brochures. Offers will only be considered from sources that can provide complete technical documentation demonstrating their capability to produce or repair the specified item. The evaluation will focus on technical competence, source approval status, and the ability to meet stringent military specifications defined in DoD-STD-100.
The pre-solicitation notice indicates no specific set-aside for small businesses or disadvantaged vendors. The contract opportunity is currently open to all qualified sources, with a response deadline of April 21, 2025. While specific award value is not disclosed, the procurement involves 145 units to be delivered FOB Origin. Notably, the solicitation emphasizes that if a vendor's source approval cannot be processed in time, the Government may proceed with award based on fleet support needs. Potential contractors must carefully review the source approval requirements, as incomplete submissions will result in automatic disqualification. Interested vendors are directed to review the detailed source approval guidelines available on the NAVSUP WSS website.
