About this opportunity
The US Army Contracting Command - Detroit Arsenal is conducting market research for a Boresight Kit with National Stock Number 4920-01-490-5100 and Part Number 1-1000BR, classified under NAICS Code 334419 for Electronic Component Manufacturing. This Request for Information (RFI) aims to gather intelligence about potential vendors' capabilities, qualifications, and interest in manufacturing this specialized equipment. Interested companies must submit detailed responses by April 17, 2025, directly to Angelo Wilson via email. The RFI requires comprehensive documentation including company details, SAM registration, business size status, commercial availability, manufacturing expertise, delivery capabilities, and experience with First Article Testing. Respondents must provide verifiable information about their technical competence and production readiness, with references to relevant past contracts.
No specific set-aside designation has been established for this potential procurement, meaning both small and large businesses are encouraged to respond. The RFI explicitly states that this is not a commitment to issue a solicitation or award a contract, serving purely as a market research initiative. Companies must submit their responses within 10 days of the posting date, with no expectation of reimbursement for preparation costs. While no specific award value or quantity is mentioned, the government is seeking to understand the market's capacity to manufacture the Boresight Kit. Interested firms must provide a recommended production lead time and verify the appropriateness of the NAICS Code. The responses will help the Army Contracting Command develop its acquisition strategy, with the ultimate goal of potentially procuring this specialized electronic component for military use.
