About this opportunity

Naval Supply Systems Command intends to solicit repair and modification of booster assemblies (NSN 7R-1680-016997330-F7), with responses due November 2, 2026. This procurement is limited to Government-approved sources only; the item is flight critical and the design is unstable with demonstrated marginal performance during tests or service use, requiring Government source approval prior to contract award.

The requirement covers 13 units for delivery FOB origin. The component has low process yield and major design changes are contemplated to render the present configuration obsolete; limited acquisition and repair from the present source is anticipated pending configuration changes. NAVSUP WSS maintains the source approval process, and the time required for approval of a new source normally precludes award delays pending such approval.

Vendors not previously approved by the Government for this item must submit source approval information detailed in the NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support Source Approval Information Brochure for repair activities. Offerors should include technical data based on company experience in production of the same or similar item, or identify whether this item has never been manufactured by the vendor. Offerors with source approval requests currently under evaluation at NAVSUP WSS must submit a copy of the cover letter forwarding that request with their proposal. Offers failing to provide all required source approval data or documentation of previous submission will not be considered for award.
